HOMES provide a sense of place, belonging, + identity. Whether conscious of it or not, our environments and how we feel about them impact our daily lives and well-being.

HOMES are the foundations that either support or inhibit us from reaching our lifelong dreams. They become our memories in our subconscious, creating a hive pattern of experiences that shape us over time.

HOMES inspire and show us who we are and what we value most. They take us on an extraordinary journey to finding ourselves.

After years in residential and private commercial renovations, collaborating with contractors, trades, and architects, I understood the diverse reasons people sought design assistance. Despite varied styles, clients universally desired well-executed spaces and involvement in the process. They often lacked experience or clarity on what that entailed, leading me to recognize the profound impact of homes on identity and well-being.

Clients' needs varied greatly, from technical guidance to creative direction. Despite assumptions, many sought assistance for guidance and confidence rather than a complete overhaul.

Anticipating challenges and understanding clients' real needs were crucial for success. Traditional design models felt limiting, while strictly virtual services lacked a personal connection. Recognizing this gap, I sought to provide personalized design solutions that empowered homeowners.

Our approach focused on a collaborative, strategic process that respected clients' needs and values. By addressing challenges and motivations early on, we offered an enjoyable and efficient design journey tailored to each of their unique circumstances.

Ultimately, the goal was to create spaces that reflected clients' identities and values, providing support and guidance for achieving their ideal home.

My journey took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn following a personal tragedy- just before sunset on September 4, 2022, at 6:37 pm, Labor Day Weekend, after a perfect day on the water, a vessel carrying 14 passengers, including two adults and 12 teenagers, violently struck a navigation channel demarcation post near Cutter Bank, just outside of Ocean Reef Florida. The impact ejected most on board, and the boat capsized, leaving them stranded and fighting for their lives. Some were airlifted to the hospital, suffering from traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and complications due to drowning. Our 17-year-old daughter, Lucy, became trapped underneath the capsized boat, and her injuries, as a result of the accident, were fatal. She passed away less than twelve hours later.

Following this tragic event, my perspective on life and priorities underwent a profound shift. The loss of Lucy, my beloved daughter, in such a sudden and devastating manner forced me to reassess everything. It was a moment that shattered our world and left an indelible mark on our lives. Forever.
